Coach Don Rinehart is in his 28th year has head coach where he has compiled a
504-148-2 record. His teams have won the very tough and ever
changing OK Red Conference ten times including the last four
consecutive
seasons. He has guided his teams to thirteen district and nine
regional championships as well as four top four finishes and two
state runner up trophies as well as the coveted STATE CHAMPION title. He has been married to his wife Deb for
35 years, has three children, and three grandchildren and one
more on the way. When Coach
Rinehart is not coaching or teaching Pre-Calc / Algebra II at
Rockford Senior High, he enjoys spending time with his family.
He also enjoys woodcarving, hiking, and other outdoor activities.

Coach Greg Hobart is in his 28th year as an assistant wrestling
coach. On most Saturdays
during the season you will find him coaching the Varsity B-team.
Many great stories have been told about the B-team's travels with
Coach Hobart for he is man that likes for all to have a good time.
He has been retired since the summer of 2003 after 30 years with
Ameritech / SBC. Coach Hobart is a father of four, and is
devoted to his significant other, Barbara. When Coach Hobart is not
on the mat he can found competing in BBQ and Chili cooking contests.
He enjoys cooking and competing so much that sometimes he travels
across the nation with a team that competes in national
competitions. Other hobbies that keep Coach Hobart busy
include reading, woodworking, and building projects.

Coach Brian Richardson is in his
9th year as an assistant coach
with the Rockford wrestling team after spending 6 years coaching
wrestling, football, and track at Avondale H.S. in Auburn Hills
Michigan. Coach Richardson enjoys working with the those who
are newer to wrestling but will never shy away from a battle with
one of the seasoned veterans. On Saturdays he can be found
coaching either the C-team or the JV team. Summers find Coach
Richardson taking groups of wrestlers to various camps, including
the Central Michigan team
camp. Coach Richardson teaches at Rockford Senior High and in
the fall you will find him coaching with the R.H.S. Varsity football
team. He is a devoted husband and father to his wife
Caroline and their two children. Some of his other hobbies
include running, golf, fishing, and reading. Brian is also an
outstanding mentor to our boys! |

Coach Doug Carey has been a volunteer assistant at Rockford since
the 1999. He graduated with honors from Flint Carman-Ainsworth
in 1991. Coach Carey was a two-time conference champion, two-time district champion, regional
champion, and made two trips to the state finals. He wrestled for two years at Ferris State and earned
Academic All American honors while there. Coach Carey spent
two years as an assistant coach at his alma-mater before turning his
attention to becoming a full-time Michigan State Trooper. He
has been married to his wife Chris for 12 years
and is the proud father of two children. When Coach Carey is
not out patrolling our streets In addition, he is a defensive
tactics instructor for the Michigan State Police, and he focuses
most of his time on cage fighting (Mixed Martial Arts) he also enjoys spending time with
his family, working out and playing golf. |

Coach Steve
Terranova has been a volunteer assistant with the Rockford wrestling
program for 10 years. He graduated from Grafton H.S. in
Wisconsin where he earned letters in both wrestling and soccer.
Coach Terranova continued his education at the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Davenport University where he earned a
degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management. Coach Terranova
coached kids wrestling from 1980-1982 and was the JV coach in soccer
at Grafton H.S. in 1983. He is a devoted father to his
son Justin and is currently employed at Waterland Spas where he is a
service manager. Steve is also a newlywed - his bride is Laurie,
Athletic Office Secretary. His hobbies include
wrestling, softball, motocross, golf, and jet-skiing. |

Coach Craig Shutich joined the Rockford wrestling
coaching staff in December 2005.
Coach Shutich returns to Rockford after graduating
from Central Michigan with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Finance.
Coach Shutich wrestled for the Rams from 1998-2001 where he posted
over 163 wins. He was a two-time conference champion and a
three-time state placer finishing 3rd his senior year. He
continued his wrestling career at Central for three years and had a
record of 57-20. Currently he is Director of Michigan
Extreme Wrestling School and also
runs his own very successful camps throughout the year. Coach
Shutich is the son of Jim and Annette Shutich and has a sister and two brothers;
Jeff, who is a current member of the CMU Cheppewas
wrestling team.
